LGBTQIA+ Cultural Proficiency Trainings in NH.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Schools & Community Groups.

New Hampshire Outright’s Educational Outreach Team offers interactive LGBTQIA+ Culturally Responsive Engagement Trainings for nonprofits, schools, businesses, and other community organizations. These trainings introduce foundational LGBTQ+ terms and concepts (gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, etc.) and explore the role of discrimination on mental health outcomes, particularly for youth.

Presenters share practical strategies to support the LGBTQ+ community, including (but not limited to) pronoun use, allyship symbols, and what to do if someone comes out to you. Questions are encouraged throughout!

  • Every student deserves to feel safe, seen, and celebrated. Our trainings help educators, administrators, and other school staff create inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive. We introduce essential LGBTQ+ concepts, explore how discrimination impacts mental health, and provide practical strategies for allyship. From using affirming language to supporting students who come out, we equip schools with the tools to foster belonging and respect. By making classrooms more inclusive, we’re helping build a future where every young person in New Hampshire feels valued and protected.

  • Nonprofits are the heart of our communities, and fostering inclusion strengthens their impact. Our training deepens understanding of LGBTQ+ identities, the challenges youth face, and how organizations can actively create safe, affirming spaces. Through real-world scenarios and actionable allyship strategies—like inclusive language, pronoun use, and supportive policies—we help nonprofits build trust and better serve the LGBTQ+ community. Together, we can create a future where every young person feels supported, empowered, and able to thrive.

  • Libraries, faith groups, after-school programs, and other community organizations play a vital role in shaping a more inclusive New Hampshire. Our training helps these groups foster understanding, empathy, and belonging for LGBTQ+ youth and adults alike. We provide foundational knowledge on gender identity, sexual orientation, and the real impact of discrimination, while equipping participants with tangible ways to support LGBTQ+ individuals. When community spaces are welcoming to all, they become places where people truly feel at home.

  • An inclusive workplace isn’t just good business—it changes lives. Our Trainings help companies create environments where LGBTQ+ employees and customers feel valued, respected, and supported. We break down key concepts, discuss the mental health impacts of discrimination, and provide actionable steps to foster allyship—from affirming policies to inclusive workplace culture. Investing in LGBTQ+ inclusion strengthens company culture, enhances employee engagement, and signals a commitment to a future where everyone can thrive authentically.
